Well the 'cross season is over, for me at least, and boy was it a whole lot of fun.
I will be the first to tell you that I have not always been the biggest fan of 'cross. For many years I looked at it from afar as not for me. It didn't take long to convert me though, I was hooked after my first race and I've really enjoyed it since.
I think 'cross is really cool because it is accessible to a lot of people. You can have a race pretty much anywhere - in a city, in a park, in a field... It is fun to watch, and it strengthens the bike community by bringing more riders together. All amazing things. From a bike standpoint, CX bikes are awesome too. They are capable for long distances, variable terrain and for the most part the type of riding that you would do just to hang out with friends and be outside. Because of these reasons I think cross racing is going to continue to see a lot of growth and I for one am very happy about that.
I hope everyone has had a great fall, and if you haven't tried out 'cross yet, I'd recommend you give it a shot,
